An expert on judgment and decision-making, Indranil Goswami studies consumer motiva­tion and decision-making biases, as well as how the way choices are presented affects people’s decisions (called “choice architecture”). Specifically, he has investigated strategies to increase motivation for charitable giving, including sug­gested donation levels, and whether rewards lead to long-term behavior changes.
